As part of our three week African project we learnt all
about African tribal life, the animals that live in Africa and we made corn
fritters to eat. During our last week of term the Swans performed the play
‘How the Zebra Got His Stripes’ for our Mummies and Daddies.
To reinforce our learning and to experience things first
hand, we went to visit Aklowa African Village. The children were able to see the
homes that are in the tribal villages, how the ladies made flour out of corn,
took part in African dancing and even dressed up in African costume. The very
best part though was the African drums, which we all loved.
