Pupicks

Pupicks runs on Thursday evenings for 5-7yr olds. This club is an excellent introduction to the Jewish Community. The chanichim take part in fun, educational activities, which simultaneously gives them the opportunity to meet young Jews of the same age and lay foundations for what will hopefully become a strong Jewish identity.

Garinim

Garinim this year will be run on Thursday evenings for the 8-10yr olds. At Garinim, the chanichim get the chance to participate in activities of a more advanced nature. We try to present Judaism and Jewish values as something the chanichim can associate with to try and strengthen their already growing connection with the Jewish world.

Shtilim

This year NEW Shtilim club will put on a musical of their choice from scratch. This includes writing script, designing the background, special effects and more. The show will be on stage on Purim. Further details will be sent out soon.
Planning and rehearsals will take place during club time.

Schemes & Residentials

We run a hugely successful 2 week Summer Scheme plus another one week scheme during the year which happens to be a February Scheme this year. Along with Schemes, we run two annual residential weekends, with a certain amount of RSY input and support – the Donut weekend at Chanukah time and the Cheesecake weekend around Shavuot time, which are always busy and successful too.

International Trips

We run two International trips a year. This year, Year 9 are going on a 4-day trip to Amsterdam and Year 10 on a 3-day trip to Prague. We aim to make these trips as educational and fun as possible and, for the first time, we are running them jointly with 3 other Shuls and their respective Youth Departments.

Hadracha

At FRS we run our own Hadracha Leadership Training programme for Young people aged 14+. On this coMonday 1 October, 2007 taught how to be better Madrichim and Religion School teachers. This course culminates in a residential weekend away which is always a huge amount of fun!
